By passing us some product and transaction data as URL parameters, you'll be able to redirect your customers to individual Hakuna-hosted checkout sessions from any of your communication channels, so they buy product protection post-purchase.
There is no technical integration required and it can be integrated into any of your touchpoints (e.g. customer support, email campaigns, sales consultation, etc.). All you need to do is decide where to place the generated redirect link in your desired channels.
To create a Redirect link, you will need some product and transaction data as well as parameters provided by Hakuna (Hakuna category, public key "pk"). Make sure that you have the following data at the time of link creation:
If the order for the product has already been completed, enter the order_id
and the product_purchase_date
from the order. Otherwise, you can enter any value for the order_id
and use the time the link was created for the product_purchase_date
.
The fulfillment_date
is optional and should only be provided if the product has already been fulfilled.
Add the parameters to the following link and share it with your customers, e.g. in an e-mail:

Please note that a Redirect link is tied to a single product within a transaction (with a quantity of one or more), so in the case of an order with multiple products, you will need to create a separate Redirect link for each product.
Hakuna can provide you with a web-based URL builder where you can easily enter the parameters to get a link. For access, contact your account manager.
Clicking the link will take the customer to the checkout, where they will be presented with the appropriate product protection and can enter their payment details to purchase it for their product. Once this is done, we will send the customer an email to confirm their purchase.
If the parameters are invalid, the customer will be redirected to an error page.
We use Hakuna branding for the checkout session by default. If you want us to configure the design of the checkout session to match your brand, please provide us with a URL to your logo and hex colour codes for the following components:
Primary colour for headings and CTAs
Secondary colour for background components
Text colour
